Follow these steps to install and activate your Windows XP Professional license.
1. Download the ISO file
Choose the version that matches your system:
2. Create a bootable USB (optional)
If installing on a new PC without an existing operating system:
- Use Rufus to create a bootable USB drive.
- Select the downloaded ISO file.
- Click "Start" to create the installer.
3. Start the installation
- Insert the USB and restart your computer.
- Boot from the USB (use F2, F12, or Del to access the boot menu).
- Alternatively, if installing from within Windows, open the ISO and double-click setup.exe.
4. Begin setup
- Choose your language and region settings.
- Click "Install Now".
- Enter the product key provided via email.
5. Select installation drive
- Choose the hard drive where you want to install Windows XP.
- Format the partition using the NTFS (Quick) option.
- Click "Next" to start the installation.
6. Complete installation
- The system will restart several times during installation.
- Set a name for your PC and create a user account if prompted.
- Adjust the date, time, and regional settings as needed.
7. Activate Windows XP
After installation:
- When prompted, choose to activate over the internet.
Your Windows XP Professional system is now installed and activated.
