This guide helps you install and activate any edition of Windows 10 — Home, Pro, Education, or Enterprise. It’s written to be very clean and easy for anyone to follow.
1. Download the Media Creation Tool
1. Go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
2. Scroll down until you see the section titled Create Windows 10 installation media:
3. Click Download now, run the tool, and choose Create installation media for another PC.
4. Choose your language, select Windows 10 as the edition (includes all versions), pick 64-bit or 32-bit, then choose USB flash drive and complete the setup.
2. Select edition during setup
If Windows setup does not ask you which edition to install:
1. Open Notepad and paste:
[Channel]
Retail
[VL]
0
2. Save the file as ei.cfg
3. Place it inside the \sources folder on the USB drive

3. Install Windows 10
- Plug in the USB
- Restart your computer
- Boot from USB (use F2, F12, or Del to open boot menu)
- Follow the on-screen steps
- Choose Custom install
- Select your drive and install
The system may restart several times — this is normal.
4. Activate Windows
After setup is complete:
- Go to Settings > System > Activation
- Enter the product key we sent to your email
Windows 10 is now installed and ready to use.
